Our Process
A presentation in nine Acts with no intermission

Scene 1: The Trigger

This is where it all starts. Whether inspired by the client or by us, it’s the first idea that gets people excited. It's also the prompt for what is called in the business - “Blue Sky” brainstorming sessions. This is the time that ideas are stretched, pounded, dissected, and elaborated upon. Quick sketches are made to help visualize the idea and discussions take place regarding possible sounds and special effects to enhance it.

Scene 2: The Possibility

Here the idea gets put though the ringer. The first question that usually comes up is, “Okay now, can this really be done?” This sets off a quest to see if the product would yield the desirable results and if the technology and budget is there to make it a reality. Calls are made, research is conducted on suppliers, demographics are studied and numbers crunched. Preliminary conceptual renderings are created to work through the process of fabricating the product. A time frame is developed.

Scene 3: The Frame

With all the essential information on scale, cost, concepts and elements now researched, a final picture of the product is framed for viewing. At this point, it is decided as a go or no go.

Scene 4: The Foundation

If the decision to go is made, it’s time to gather together all the essentials to make the product now become real. Design, engineering and schematics are produced with focus on every last small screw and bolt while at the same time maintaining a sharp eye on the big picture.

Scene 5: The Creation

Fabrication begins. Each item is subjected to continuous checks and tests as the process proceeds to ensure every item adheres to a strict level of quality.

Scene 6: The Puzzle

With all the elements now delivered on site, the challenging task is to put all of them together and make it work. While on site we co-ordinate our team’s efforts with any others working on the project. We art-direct in the field to insure that everything looks great, sounds great and sometimes even smells great.

Scene 7: The Trial

Now assembled, we make final checks to insure that the total product is structurally and mechanically solid, safe and that the product works perfectly and delivers on its original intent. Before our product is introduced to the public, we must first insure that our client is ecstatic about it and most important, that we are satisfied with a job well done.

Scene 8: The Reveal

We open the product to the public and carefully gauge visitor’s reactions through opinion polls and observation. If any last minute tweaking needs to be done it is conducted during this time.

Scene 9: The Follow-up

Even though a product successfully opens and full technical and maintenance manuals are given to the new owner covering every aspect of the ride, that is not the end of the story.  Attraction Design Services remains available for any customer service questions and warranty issues if needed.
